The Devi Mahatmyam or Glory of the Goddess is a scripture describing the story of the greatness of the Devi - Goddess Durga and how she empowered herself by killing the demons. Devi Mahatmyam is part of Markandeya Purana composed between 400-600 C.E. Devi Mahatmyam is also known as Durga Saptashati or Candi Patha.
