Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Super Simple apps, websites, and related services, including Parasocial.

Effective September 2, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Dialect Agency Inc. DBA Super Simple. By downloading, accessing, purchasing, subscribing to, or using a Super Simple product or service, including Parasocial, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the applicable product or service.

You must be at least 13 and legally capable of entering this agreement. If you use a product for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. License and use

Our apps are licensed, not sold. Subject to these terms, applicable app-store rules, and any active purchase or subscription, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the product on supported devices for lawful purposes.

Apps distributed through Apple are also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Other distribution platforms may impose their own mandatory terms. Those platform terms control to the extent they are legally required or directly conflict with these terms.

3. Accounts, devices, and connected services

Some products may use device permissions or connect to third-party accounts. You are responsible for keeping your devices and accounts secure, using only accounts and content you are authorized to access, reviewing sync and deletion choices, and complying with provider terms. You authorize us and the app to perform the actions you select, such as importing, exporting, synchronizing, editing, or deleting data.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

Prices, trial terms, renewal periods, taxes, and payment details shown at checkout control your purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically when disclosed at purchase unless canceled through the relevant app store or payment provider before renewal. Deleting an app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds and billing disputes are handled under the rules of the store or payment provider and applicable law.

5. Your content

You retain your rights in content you create, import, or connect. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate features you request. You are responsible for your content, its accuracy, lawful use, backups, and the people or accounts with whom you share it.

6. Public playlists and profiles

Parasocial lets you claim a username and make playlists public. Public playlists, usernames, display names, and bios are user-generated content. You keep your rights in them. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your public playlists, username, display name, and bio, and to adapt their format, so we can show them to anyone, including people without the app, for as long as they are public. The license ends when you make the content private or delete it, except for copies other people saved, caches we do not control, and records we keep for safety or legal reasons.

Public content appears on shareable web pages, in link previews, in the app’s discovery surfaces, and in the libraries of people who follow it. Your username appears on everything you publish. Public playlists only include shows we can confirm are publicly listed, and we may withhold items from a public playlist for that reason.

Content standards

You may not publish, in a playlist, username, display name, or bio:

  • Content that impersonates a person, podcast, or organization, or misleads people about who you are.
  • Harassment, threats, or content that targets a person or group.
  • Hateful content or sexual content.
  • Spam, deceptive links, or content published to manipulate follows, plays, or rankings.
  • Content you do not have the rights to publish.

Objectionable content and removal

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Anyone can report a playlist or curator from inside the app, and anyone can hide a curator’s playlists. We review reports within one business day and remove content and accounts that violate these terms. We may remove or restrict any public content, release a username, suspend or end publishing, and hide content from discovery at any time, with or without notice, when we reasonably believe it violates these terms, the law, or another person’s rights, or to protect our users and services.

Copyright complaints

We respond to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe public content on Parasocial infringes your copyright, send a notice containing the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to our designated agent: Dialect Agency Inc., Attn: Copyright Agent, 350 Northern Blvd, STE 324-1171, Albany, NY 12204-1000, United States, or by email to support@parasocial.fm. We may remove or disable access to the material, notify the person who published it, and end publishing for repeat infringers.

7. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use a product unlawfully or to violate another person’s rights.
  • Access accounts, devices, systems, or data without authorization.
  • Interfere with security, availability, rate limits, or normal operation.
  • Introduce malicious code, automate abusive traffic, or attempt to bypass access or payment controls.
  • Reverse engineer or redistribute a product except where applicable law expressly permits it.

8. Third-party services

Products may interoperate with app stores, operating systems, hosting providers, payment providers, podcast directories and hosts, and other services we do not control. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. Changes, outages, or restrictions imposed by a third party may affect product availability or require us to modify an integration. Third-party names and marks belong to their owners and do not imply sponsorship.

9. Ownership and feedback

Super Simple products, software, websites, branding, design, and documentation are owned by Dialect Agency Inc. or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. No rights are granted except those expressly stated in these terms. If you provide feedback, you permit us to use it without restriction or compensation, while we remain responsible for our own implementation.

10. Changes and availability

We may update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features or products. We aim to communicate material changes when reasonable, but uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available service is not guaranteed. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important information.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, products and services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties not expressly required by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. Super Simple products are not emergency, medical, legal, financial, or identity-verification services.

Nothing in these terms limits warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dialect Agency Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from a product or these terms. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the applicable product in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify Dialect Agency Inc. from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful misuse of a product, violation of these terms, or violation of another person’s rights. This obligation does not apply where prohibited by consumer law.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using a product at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, fraud, security threats, material breach, nonpayment, or discontinuation. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where the law of your residence or another mandatory consumer law applies. Subject to those mandatory rights, disputes may be brought in the state or federal courts with jurisdiction in Albany County, New York. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect product, business, or legal changes. We will post the updated terms and revise the effective date. We will provide additional notice or request consent when required by law.
