The Hunger Games Trilogy, by Suzanne Collins, takes place in a post apocalyptic future were the United States of America has collapsed and supplanted by Panem, a country divided into the Capitol and 12 districts. Each year, two young representatives between the ages of 12 and 18 are selected from each district to participate in The Hunger Games.
